The S&P 500 hit a record shortly after the open then faded, but only slightly. The S&P 500, Nasdaq and DJIA all closed at records once again. Perhaps more notable was the big gain the Russell 2000, which ticked over the 2024 high and is now challenging the 2021 all-time high.
