White House warns of high CPI inflation tomorrow

  • "We expect a high headline" the White House spokesperson says

The consensus on tomorrow's February US CPI report is 7.9%, up from 7.5% in January.

The White House has been warning of high numbers every month. I don't think that tells us if it's 'higher than expected.'

Meanwhile, high commodity prices are stuffing the future channels with more inflation. I'd argue this war has been a gamechanger for inflation and inflation expectations.
