The President spoke by phone yesterday with centrist Senator Joe Manchin on the Build Back Better bill and the pair failed to come to an agreement on supporting the legislation.
The White House said 'we're not quite there yet' according to a CNN reporter. They noted that talks will continue but if talks fall apart this week just after the Fed takes a more-hawkish tone, then it could sour market sentiment in a hurry.
