The Pentagon is putting pressure on Japan type event spending, according to Nikkei.
US wants Japan to spend above 3.5% GDP. Japan officials say that such a move would be difficult given a minority government.
The JPY has been strong today vs the USD. Looking at the hourly chart below, the price has moved below the 200 hour MA, but stalled near the 100 hour MA for the 2nd consecutive day. That moving average comes in at 147.64. Move below that level increase the bearish bias perspective.
