In the European session, the main highlight was the UK GDP report. The data was generally weaker than expected but with the market already expecting a cut in December, it didn't change much.
In the American session, we don't have anything on the agenda other than a couple of Fed speakers. I'm not sure but maybe we could get jobless claims today as the shutdown finally ended. It's a very remote possibility I guess.
The September NFP report could also be released pretty soon, maybe even tomorrow given that it was meant to come out just two days after the shutdown started.
The White House said that the October NFP might not be released at all, and I think that's a good thing because I would want to see the most recent data before the next FOMC and not old data that could just create unnecessary volatility.
