In the European session, we don't have much on the agenda other than a couple of low tier releases like the final French and Spanish CPI readings, and the Eurozone industrial production data. None of them will change anything for the ECB.

In the American session, the only highlight might be the Fed's Beige Book. This report summarises the current economic conditions during the six weeks prior to its publication across the twelve Fed districts. Given the lack of government data due to the shutdown, this report might get more attention, but won't change anything for the Fed at the moment.

Remember that the focus in the markets remains solely on US-China headlines for now.
