The expectation here is that we should see them extend the ongoing truce between both sides, which is due to lapse on 12 August. That as they are still trying to figure out how best to move forward from all of this. As things stand, China is accepting that there will be higher tariffs and the US is also learning not to muck about too much and risk getting cut off on rare earth exports again.
