It was mostly flat in the world of equities but the Russell 2000 bounced nicely after a harsh selloff yesterday on the tariff news. One worrisome sign in the broader market is that meme stocks are running and leading the way, which suggests were in the latter innings of the game. But we've seen before that they can run for awhile.
In terms of larger names, top performers today were Moderna +9%, Intel +7% and oil names. Nike, JPMorgan and Walmart were among the laggards. The financials could be starting to see some profit taking ahead of Q2 results. Gold miners were beaten up.
