Iran nuclear negotiations took a break on the weekend and were expected to reconvene late in the week but it's now looking like that won't be at least until the weekend.
The US State Department says it will probably be another couple of days before e know where the Iranians stand on nuclear talks. The spokes man also said the 'intransigence' Iran has shown will put to test whether a mutual return to the nuclear deal is possible. He also threatened Iran, saying that if diplomacy fails the US will take additional actions.
Oil is reacting to omicron and the overall risk mood today rather than Iran but it's an important longer-term risk. WTI crude was last down $1.73 to $70.63 leaving an outside day on the chart.
