Note that all the claims appeared to be from New York State, which argues this was a quirk rather than a troubling turn in the jobs market.

It appears to be related to the timing of spring recess for NY public schools, which moves every year and isn't seasonally adjusted for. I think it's safe to ignore this rise in claims.
