From Associated Press UN Correspondent Farnoush Amiri:

Amir Saeid Iravani, Iran's UN envoy, tells reporters Tuesday afternoon that the U.S. has privately indicated to Iranians that it would soon lift its blockade, which is a demand Tehran has made for returning to the negotiations in Islamabad

That's great news but a separate report says that Trump is considering cancelling Vance's trip altogether because of Iran's stance on nuclear enrichment.

Update: A senior Iranian official tells Reuters that Iran could attend talks if the US abandons its policy of pressure and threats. He said the US is creating new obstacles every day instead of resolving issues. The official noted that Pakistan's efforts to persuade the US to lift its naval blockade and release the Iranian ship have not yet yielded results. Ultimately, it said Iran rejects negotiations conducted under pressure or aimed at surrender.

This almost sounds like there are philosophical blockades to the way the US is conducting negotiations.
