UN chief calls for Gaza ceasefire, urges Israel to halt settlement expansion

UN Secretary General Guterres, speaking in Yokohama, Japan, called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza to avoid massive death and destruction in Gaza City.

Guterres also called on Israel to reverse its decision to expand what he described as illegal settlements in the West Bank.
