UK says expect tariffs agreement with US on autos to come into force by end of the month

  • That means 10% tariffs instead of the supposedly proposed 25% tariffs from before

For now, both sides have pretty much signed sort of half of a trade deal. And for it to go into effect just before the final deadline makes sense I guess. But there's still the whole issue of steel and aluminum tariffs to be resolved. That stands at 25% now with Trump pausing the doubling of that until 9 July.
