Pres Trump is on TruthSocial saying that:
Of course, the decision on whether he can keep the tariff money has yet to be decided by the Supreme Court.
There may also be some money going to farmers. There was a 60-Minutes segment highlighting the pressure on family farms.
Meanwhile Trump is saying:
- All air traffic controllers "must get back to work NOW!!" and that if you don't, you will be docked. He said he will be recommending a bonus of $10,000 per person for distinguished service to our country...
- He also tells the Supreme Court that it continues to seek a pause of the judges order that required it to fully fund food a this month for 42 million Americans.
Let's shutdown the government, and then pay a bonus for the shutdown.
