I'm shaking my head at the latest bluster from Trump. Monday US time brought this latest:
- "A lot of countries took advantage of the US and they are not able to take advantage anymore. China's paying 55 per cent and a potential 155 per cent come November 1st unless we make a deal,"
Trump mentioned he'd be meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in South Korea. Trump was upbeat:
- "We have a very good relationship; we are going to be meeting in South Korea in a couple of weeks... I think we are going to work out something which is good for both the countries"
Even if nothing comes of this meeting Trump will do his usual taco. Tariffs on China will not even come close to 155%.
