Trump spoke with reporters on his way back to Washington after a weekend golfing.
He covered various topis. Some remarks:
- Nuclear submarines sent to the region of Russia
- Russia is good at avoiding sanctions
- His envoy Witkoff may be going Wednesday or Thursday, Witkoff message will be stop the killing
- Will be announcing who will be replacing the woman who left the Fed in the next couple of days
- Will be announcing his political appointee to the Bureau of Labor Statistics in the 3 or 4 days
Trump also said there may be some sort of distribution, cash, to Americans from tariffs revenues.
Huh, such added fiscal stimulus will push against Federal Reserve rate cuts, at the margin.
