Trump was asked by a reporter about oil prices and said he didn't like rising oil prices. I wouldn't exactly take that as a signal but it's certainly not bullish. WTI has almost recovered to flat today.
He also said:
- I'm not going to fire Powell
- Can't get Powell to lower rates
- We'd like to get lower interest rates
