The United States and Israel are close to reaching an agreement on President Donald Trump’s proposal to end the war in Gaza, following talks between Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff, senior adviser Jared Kushner, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Axios reporter Barak Ravid said Sunday on X, citing a senior U.S. official.

The official noted that Hamas would still need to sign on, according to Ravid.

Earlier in the day, Trump said he expects to finalize the Gaza peace plan during a Monday meeting with Netanyahu.
