Toyota revises down global production for April due to chip shortage, warns of uncertainty

  • Toyota revises down global production for April by 150,000 units due to chip shortage

The firm says that this will see global production fall to 750,000 units in April but they would be expecting average monthly production in Q2 to sit around 800,000 units. However, they are warning that it is difficult to foresee the situation over the next few months and that they might lower the production target again.

I think that pretty much encapsulates a lot of how companies are feeling right now as supply chains are still heavily disrupted. The lockdowns in China aren't going to help with that.
