The stoppages, of three production lines at two plants, began on Wednesday.
Both plants produce vehicles for the Lexus brand. The halt will impact around 3,500 units, representing under 1% of Toyota's domestic production.
Delays in accessing parts from Southeast Asia were behind the shutdowns.
