The second day of the talks between the US and China have ended.
According the China top trade negotiator Li:
- China and US talks were candid and indepth, constructive discussions.
- China/US teams continued to make use of trade consultation mechanism
- Two sides realized importance of maintaining a healthy, stable relations
- Had comprehensive, in-depth exchanges of macroeconomics. We reviewed implementation of Geneva consensus.
- China and US have agreed to extend the trade truce
- Both sides will continue to push forward extension of pause of reciprocal tariffs as well as Chinese countermeasures.
- We will continue to maintain communication.
