China's army announced it will conduct important military exercises and training activities including live-fire drills in six regions surrounding the Taiwan island from Thursday to Sunday.
It's natural for everyone's minds to go back to February when Russia said it was conducting military drills in Belarus. Those were ultimately far more than exercises.
Ok, I assume that the US government has intel everywhere and that this drill was planned long ago. Maybe the US didn't like the look of the drill and did this to show that it will defend Taiwan? Of course, that could be a bluff.
