Pentagon spokesperson:
- We do not believe Poland's proposal is a tenable one
- fight jets offered by Poland 'raises serious concerns for the NATO alliance'
- it is not c;lear there is a substantive rationale for it
All these words are to avoid saying the US does not want this escalation.
