Oil - private survey of inventory shows a larger than expected headline draw

This data was out at 4.30pm NY time, but took a lot longer than usual to leak out to media. The headline draw did, but not gas or distillates.

Media reports now:

• U.S. crude stockpiles fell 4M barrels last week

Expectations I had seen centred on:

• Headline crude -1 mn barrels
• Distillates +0.5 mn
• Gasoline -0.9 mn
