Nomura has raised its GDP forecast for China this year to 5.9% (from 5.3.%)

Analysts are seeing better data from China, and more of that to come.

• JP Morgan upgraded its China 2023 full-year GDP growth forecast to 6.4% (from 6%)
• TD raise their GDP forecast, "China Economic Surprise Index surged to a multi-year high"

The Chinese Communist Party has set the target 'around 5%'. Private sector economists are expecting better.
