New Zealand data - March consumer inflation expectations hit a 9 month high

New Zealand confidence falls to 77.7 from 79.8 in February.

As part of this survey from ANZ is an assessment of inflation expectations amongst consumers. Says ANZ:

  • Inflation expectations rose from 5.2% to 5.4%.
  • That’s the highest read in nine months.
  • That won’t please the RBNZ, though they put more weight on business expectations.
