Kwasi Kwarteng is appointed Chancellor of the Exchequer in the UK, as was rumored this week. He was previously in Boris Johnson's cabinet as Minister of State for Business, Energy and Clean Growth and has been an MP since 2010.
He studied at Cambridge where he earned a PhD in economic history.
