Japan's largest industrial union to seek 6% salary hike

  • More signs of Japanese inflation

Kyodo reports that Japan's largest industrial union UA ZENSEN is seeking a base salary hike of 4% along with bonuses adding up to a total salary increase of 6%.

That's not the kind of thing you would see in a place without inflation.

At the same time, it's a negotiation and seeking 6% only assures that you'll have to settle for less.
