- Has expressed intention to leave coalition to LDP leader Takaichi
- It is extremely regrettable that LDP's solution to the issues was inadequate
- Wants to reset LDP-Komeito ruling coaliation for the time being
- We cannot vote for Takaichi's premiership in parliament
And there it goes. This is a return back to 2009 when the relationship between the two were severely tested. Komeito has been losing relevance in the past few election results and Saito has mentioned before that they won't be sticking around if the LDP appoints a leader that doesn't align with their more moderate conservative views. And Takaichi appears to be just that.
