Much of this 'summit' will be spent on regional security issues of importance to Japan and the US:
- North Korea
- Taiwan
for example.
On economic issues, there will be discussion on:
- collaboration on technologies, such as artificial intelligence and semiconductors
- Japan's imports of U.S. liquefied natural gas
I posted last week that FX might get a look at. Both leaders would be happy with a lower USD/JPY rate. I expect that discussion to be had, if at all, by underlings though.
