It's been a historically-quiet Atlantic hurricane season but there's a good prospect in play now, which the NHC gives a 70% chance of spilling up into a tropical depression in the next 48 hours. It's also tracking on a path that will take it into the Gulf of Mexico and potentially disrupt oil and gas production next week.
