National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) head remarks following the data releases earlier:

• China Q4 GDP 0.0% q/q (expected -0.8)
• China December economic activity data beats across all 3 indicators

Responses begin:

• China says its 2022 GDP growth was 3% - analyst response is: Nope, much lower

Given the stimulus being rolled out on China as the economy exits from COVID and the property sector tries to recover from its debt-implosion a better 2023 is likely.
