German network regulator warns gas storage could quickly empty after a few frosty days

The network regulator chief, Klaus Mueller, warns that:

"Just a few freezing cold days are enough for a dramatic increase in gas consumption."

Adding that the current storage levels of around 99% could keep going for around 9-10 weeks (if solely reliant on them), provided the case that it will be a mild winter - something similar to last year.
