On the topic of inflation and its impact, he says that he will hold a meeting with supermarket retailers soon to discuss food price inflation. I assume that would be to try and calm fears that price pressures will continue to stay elevated but based on the latest readings here, core inflation remains very much sticky so that is something to be wary about.
