Euro area investor sentiment picked up in October with a notable improvement in German economic prospects especially. The overall expectations index picked up from 0.8 in September to 5.8 in October with the German estimate improving from 2.8 previously to 6.3. That said, Sentix notes that "without sustainable improvements in the framework conditions and with only armanents, it will be difficult to kickstart an upturn".
