European indices see a more tentative start to the new week

  • Stocks in Europe are not quite struggling as hard as US futures today
  • Eurostoxx -0.1%
  • Germany DAX +0.1%
  • France CAC 40 -0.1%
  • UK FTSE flat
  • Spain IBEX flat
  • Italy FTSE MIB flat

German stocks are mostly the ones to watch this week after the recovery rally on Friday. The incoming government has agreed on what is needed to get the debt brake reform through, with the vote set for tomorrow. But with the overall market mood feeling heavy, we could still see risk trades stutter especially if US retail sales disappoint later in the day. US futures are still down, with S&P 500 futures lower by 0.6% currently.
