Elon Musk has officially filed American Political Party with the US Federal Electoral Commission (FEC).
- Musk made this decision after Trump increased the US deficit by 5 trillion dollars over 10 years
- Musk posted a poll on X asking users if there should be a new political party in the US
Musk referred to his polling in a post on his social medai platform, X (foremerly known as Twitter):
- "By a factor of 2 to 1, you want a new political party and you shall have it!
- "When it comes to bankrupting our country with waste & graft, we live in a one-party system, not a democracy.
- "Today, the America Party is formed to give you back your freedom."
