Crude oil futures are settling down $0.47 or -0.73% at $66.43. The high price reached $65.11. The low price was at $63.76.
At session highs, the price did extend briefly above the 100-day moving average at $64.92, but momentum cannot be sustained in price quickly rotated back to the downside.
At session lows, the price tested the low of a swing area near $63.61 (see red numbered circles and yellow area). Moving below that level will open the door for the sellers to push lower.
