China's top diplomat set to visit Australia and New Zealand in the coming week

  • China's foreign affairs minister, Wang Yi, will be visiting both countries from 17 to 21 March

This as announced by the Chinese foreign ministry, adding that the meetings will help to kick off high-level exchanges between China and the two countries. For Australia and New Zealand, China remains an important trade partner and that has been evident as well in the correlation between the yuan and both the antipodean currencies from time to time.
