China says both teams are maintaining normal communication on US-China Phase One trade deal

If I were to guess, no communication is normal communication for both sides. The fact that they are not sniping at one another is perhaps the best case scenario for the time being. But in the bigger picture, don't expect tensions to ease between US and China relations over the next decade or so. If anything else, things are likely to intensify further so that's a macro backdrop to keep in the back of your mind.
