Manufacturing PMI for August is expected to have remained in contractionary territory for the fifth consecutive month:
- expected 49.4, prior 49.3
- Trade tensions between Washington and Beijing this year, along with recent extreme summer weather and Beijing's recent efforts to curb excess capacity have dampened factory activity.
Non-Manufacturing PMI
