Canada trade minister LeBlanc says:

Reports from the Globe and Mail suggest that a U.S.–Canada trade deal could be ready for approval at the upcoming APEC summit, though progress remains limited to specific sectors. While both sides appear close to agreements on steel, aluminum, and energy, the U.S. is not yet prepared to finalize deals covering autos or softwood lumber. A signing on the narrower trade package could occur later this month.
