Canada construction data for October 2021

• prior month revised to 4.1% from 4.3%
• total building permits C$10.291 billion versus C$10.161 billion last month
• Non residential sector, +4.2%. This was 16.7% above the pre-pandemic levels
• residential sector -0.1%
• commercial building permits rose 10.1%
• British Colombia +15% (a $254 million Mills Memorial Hospital project helped that province)
• Ontario +4.5%
