It's making the rounds on X that the Fed is holding an emergency meeting to potentially discuss a rate cut. Unfortunately, it's just a regular meeting.
I'm surprised that many professional news sites even mention it. These are regular meetings that the Board of Governors holds regularly, typically every other Monday.
If you go to the Federal Reserve website here, you can see how many "emergency" meetings they held.
