Australia's new energy minister, Chris Bowen (part of the just voted in new government):
- says will take whatever action is necessary to ensure ongoing reliability and affordability for domestic energy markets
- Won't shy away from taking hard decisions
- It is not a short-term answer to trigger the domestic gas security mechanism
Lower energy costs to business would be welcome.
