  • Australia's Trade Minister is confident that China will lift punitive tariffs on Australian wine

Relations between Australia and China have been back on a slowly improving path. China has lifted trade blocks on most Australian exports it had imposed.

Australian Trade Minister Farrell spoke with Sky News TV over the weekend expressing confidence that Chinese authorities will lift their punitive imposts on Australian wine "early in the new year".

While AUD flows on this are relatively small it's a positive for sentiment.
