The good news is that the US government shutdown is in its final stages and is likely to wrap up on Wednesday. The bad news is that it will take awhile to get back on track with economic data, with some reports being delayed until close to year end.
Even worse is that this vote only reopens the government until the end of January, so we could soon be doing this song and dance again.
This is so annoying. 8:30 am ET is my favorite time of day each day and we're trading on some flimsy ADP data instead.
