According to CNBC
CNBC is reporting that the US will put tariffs on a smaller list of product on China tomorrow.
The details:
- 800-900 products will have tariffs instead of 1300 as first published
- The total is likely less than $50B
The report is being circulated among government agencies.
An unscheduled press conference is expected at 2:30 PM ET with Sarah Sanders. Perhaps it is in response to this report.
China will likely still retaliate, but perhaps it does not ruin relations as Pres. Trump looks to square N. Korea and trade at the same time.
