Obama’s flak tells reporters you can’t have a “balanced approach” to deficit reduction without raising tax rates.
That’s nonsense, of course, but both sides are so far sticking to their guns. Republicans want to raise revenues by limiting deductions and loopholes while Obama wants to push up rates.
