What's the options?
Looking at Theresa May's options as she considers plan B on Monday it is worth being aware of the inclinations within her own party. According to this BBC article the Conservative party are split the following ways:
- 202 - supported May's Brexit deal (including 3 labours and 2 independents)
- 45- to limit/scrap backstop
- 39- favour looking for a 'better deal'.
- 17- want to leave without a deal
- 9 - Hold second referendum
- 1- Norway style option.
Looking at this breakdown May is going to try and re-negotiate or manage a no-deal with a time extension. The only question is will Corbyn co-operate to get a cross party deal ( he should at this stage) or will May be ousted and a second referendum be demanded (by Labour, I suspect).
